Gas Industry Induction (NSW) – 3 Day
This course is a mandatory requirement for any persons working on the Jemena Gas Network.

The Gas Industry Induction covers the following topics:

- Risk assessment requirements
- Site safety & environmental protection requirements
- BYDA plan reading
- Asset location
- Use of basic gas industry tools & equipment
- Manual handling
- Fire extinguisher use
- Breathing apparatus
Students must bring the following to the training:
- Standard approved cotton work uniform
- Approved safety footwear
- Approved safety eyewear
- Approved safety gloves
- Pen & notepad
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- A valid WAS (Pegasus) number must be provided for all persons you wish to enrol

- If you are not comfortable in using shared BA equipment and flash hood during the training, you must bring your own BA equipment for use on the second day of the course.

- Mandatory requirement for all persons involved in the construction and laying of gas distribution assets
- Components of this program are refreshed annually
- Successful course completion results in a non-accredited certificate for Construct & Lay (Jemena)
Construct & Lay Distribution Assets (NSW)
This course is a mandatory requirement for personnel who construct and lay gas distribution services and/or mains on the Jemena Gas Network.

Students are required to complete a pre-course e-Learning module before attending the 2-day course. This online module typically takes 2-3 hours to finish. It is crucial for students to complete this pre-work before the training to ensure they are well-prepared for the practical tasks during the course. Failure to complete the module prior to the 2-day course will result in students being unable to attend, and they will be considered a 'no-show' according to our cancellation policy outlined below.

- Construction field manual requirements
- Nylon gluing practices
- Electrofusion welding practices
- Copper bending
- Pressure testing mains & services
- Basic commissioning practices
- As-built drawing
- Plastic Pipe Repairs
Students must bring the following to the training:
- Standard approved cotton work uniform
- Approved safety footwear
- Approved safety eyewear
- Approved safety gloves
- Pen & notepad

- Each student MUST complete approximately 4hrs of pre-course study and online assessment PRIOR to attending the 2 day workshop.
