APA Pressure test gas distribution pipelines (COM-N011-1) & Direct purging of gas distribution pipelines (COM-N009-1)
This course is designed to support Network operations field-based personnel who are required to install, modify and/or repair gas distribution pipelines. The course provides personnel with the knowledge and skills required to perform key tasks associated with the use of network distribution piping pressure testing equipment, coupled with reference to associated APA procedures and instructions. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of purging and be able to purge mains and services to the required standard.

When accepting a booking proposal or submitting an enrolment request via our website, you understand that we are required to dedicate resources and incur costs to provide the course, even before the course has started. If you cancel your enrolment in the course, you must give us written notice, in which case the below notice periods and fees will apply:
- Demonstrate an understanding of pressure testing Mains & Services using The Washington Leak Detector.
- Be able to perform a pressure test to the required standard and implement the necessary repair if a leak is identified.
- Purge a gas distribution pipeline for mains and services.
NON-ACCREDITED INTERNAL APA COMPETENCY

- COM-N011-1 Pressure test gas distribution pipelines
- COM-N009-1 Direct purging of gas distribution pipelines

PRE-REQUISITE
- Students must satisfactorily complete COM-N011-1 Pressure test gas distribution pipelines prior to undertaking COM-N009-1 Direct purging of gas distribution pipelines.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
- Network operations field based personnel who are required to install, modify and/or repair gas distribution pipelines.
- Persons who are required to purge a gas distribution pipeline on the APA network.

- Normal approved work uniform (personal protective equipment (PPE) safety clothing).
- Protective footwear (steel cap boots)

- Full payment of all course fees
