Basic Hydrogen Safety Skill Set

This Skill Set is for all individuals working with hydrogen and covers complying with and applying safety regulations, practices, and procedures.  Students must be currently employed in the gas industry, to enrol into this program.

Course Details:

This course is conducted as follows:

  • Approximately 2-3 hours of pre-course eLearning
  • 3 days face-to-face training
  • Students must also complete workplace learning and assessment (upload evidence of key tasks) within 6 weeks from completion of training


UNITS OF COMPETENCY
Successful course completion results in certification in UEGSS00013 Basic Hydrogen Safety Skill Set, from the UEG Gas Industry Training Package.  This skill set is made up of 3 units of competency‚ as follows:

 
  • PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in a facility
  • UEGNSG031 Prepare to work in the gas industry
  • UEGNSG901 Apply safety practices, procedures, and compliance standards for handling hydrogen gas
  • Within this course, the following topics will be covered:
    • HSEQ framework
    • Gas industry overview
    • Risk management
    • Hydrogen awareness
    • Preparing to handle hydrogen gas
    • Safe hydrogen handling
    • Emergency planning & management

COST
  • $2,350 (no GST) per person

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
Students must bring the following to training:
  • USI number (Unique Student Identifier) for accredited enrolment form
  • All students enrolling are required to complete a pre-training LLN Screening Assessment
  • Normal approved work uniform (PPE – personal protective equipment safety clothing)
  • Protective footwear (steel cap boots)
  • Protective eyewear
  • Protective gloves
  • Pen & notebook

Certificates are awarded only after:
  • Successful completion of all required training and assessment activities
  • Full payment of all course fees


CANCELLATION POLICY
EnerTrain Pty Ltd is committed to providing you with the course in a timely manner and while doing our best to accommodate your needs.
 
Unfortunately, when you cancel without giving adequate notice, it prevents us from serving another client. This cancellation policy is used as a way of respecting the time commitment of all involved. It explains the process for requesting a cancellation and the fees applicable. This policy is used in fairness to both our business and the clients who would otherwise have wanted a booking.
 
EnerTrain firmly believes that a good client and business relationship is based upon mutual understanding, we want to be clear from the outset about all the costs you may face when engaging our services, so please contact us if you have any questions.
 
We understand situations can arise in which you must cancel your enrolment in the course. Due to limited appointment availability, we request that you cancel with adequate notice. This allows us to fill that booking slot.  You may cancel by contacting us via:

When accepting a booking proposal or submitting an enrolment request via our website, you understand that we are required to dedicate resources and incur costs to provide the course, even before the course has started.  If you cancel your enrolment in the course, you must give us written notice, in which case the below notice periods and fees will apply:
 
  • 5 full business days: no fees payable
  • 2-4 full business days: 50% of full course fee
  • 1 full business day or less (including no show): 100% of full course fee
All references to cancellation of bookings in this policy, are also relevant to rescheduled bookings. When re-booking training for a new date as a result of a late cancellation or late arrival, a new course fee will apply.
