Confined Space & Breathing Apparatus – Refresher (VIC)

This refresher training is designed for individuals who have previously completed initial training for units of competency RIIWHS202E & MSMWHS216 and and require refresher training to satisfy industry requirements.

NOTE: this is a REFRESHER program. To enrol into this course, we must receive evidence of initial training for each student. You will need to provide Statement of Attainment certificates as evidence.

Course Details:

This course contains the following components: 
  • Theory training and classroom activities
  • Practice using key equipment and instruments
  • Practice using airline and SCBA systems
  • Knowledge/theory assessment
  • Practical assessment including 2 x confined space entries


UNITS OF COMPETENCY

Successful course completion results in a Statement of Attainment (partial qualification) with units from the UEG20122 Certificate II in Gas Supply Industry Operations, as follows:
 
  • RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces
  • MSMWHS216 Operate breathing apparatus

*Enrolment into this program requires evidence of initial training for each individual student


WHO SHOULD ATTEND
 
  • People who are required to enter confined spaces, operate breathing apparatus, conduct gas testing and conduct work activities under the authority of an issued permit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
 
Students must bring the following to training:
 
  • Student to bring USI number for accredited enrolment form.
  • Normal approved work uniform (personal protective equipment (PPE) safety clothing).
  • Protective footwear (steel cap boots)
  • Protective eyewear
  • Protective gloves
  • Pen & notebook

Certificates are awarded only after:
  • Completion of all required training and assessment activities
  • Full payment of all course fees

Unfortunately, when you cancel without giving adequate notice, it prevents us from serving another client. This cancellation policy is used as a way of respecting the time commitment of all involved. It explains the process for requesting a cancellation and the fees applicable. This policy is used in fairness to both our business and the clients who would otherwise have wanted a booking.

We understand situations can arise in which you must cancel your enrolment in the course. Due to limited appointment availability, we request that you cancel with adequate notice. This allows us to fill that booking slot.  You may cancel by contacting us via:
When accepting a booking proposal or submitting an enrolment request via our website, you understand that we are required to dedicate resources and incur costs to provide the course, even before the course has started.  If you cancel your enrolment in the course, you must give us written notice, in which case the below notice periods and fees will apply:
  • 5 full business days: no fees payable
  • 2-4 full business days: 50% of full course fee
  • 1 full business day or less (including no show): 100% of full course fee
All references to cancellation of bookings in this policy, are also relevant to rescheduled bookings.
